Get started with Noteal in three steps:

1. Sign up at app.noteal.cc using your email or Google account.
2. Create a workspace — give it a name and invite your team members.
3. Write a note, link it to a project, and generate your first AI task plan.

No configuration required. Noteal works out of the box with sensible defaults you can customise later.

A workspace is the top-level container for your team. Everything — projects, notes, and members — lives inside a workspace.

Creating a workspace

After signing up you will be prompted to create your first workspace. Choose a name and a unique slug (e.g. acme-corp). The slug becomes part of your workspace URL.

Inviting members

Navigate to Settings → Members and enter the email address of teammates you want to invite. They will receive an invitation email and can join with any account.

Roles

• Owner — full control over the workspace, billing, and members.
• Admin — can manage members and projects.
• Member — can create and edit notes, tasks, and projects.

Noteal uses a BlockNote-based rich text editor. You can write in plain prose, add headings, bullet lists, code blocks, and embed images.

Notes are private by default. You can share a note with your workspace by toggling visibility in the note settings panel.

Linking a note to a project is what unlocks AI task generation. Open a note and click the Link to project button in the top toolbar, then select the target project.

A note can be linked to multiple projects. The AI will use the full content of the note as context when generating tasks.

From your workspace sidebar, click New project. Give it a name, description, and an optional due date. Projects contain tasks, milestones, and linked notes.

Each project has its own Kanban board, list view, and activity feed shared by all workspace members with access.

With a note linked to a project, open the project and click Generate tasks from notes. Noteal sends the note content to its AI engine, which returns a structured list of tasks, milestones, priorities, and suggested assignees.

You can review, edit, and approve the generated tasks before they are added to the project board.

AI Credits

Each generation uses AI credits. Free workspaces receive a monthly allowance. See AI Credits for details.

Noteal supports five task views:

• Card — Kanban-style drag-and-drop board.
• List — compact linear list with inline editing.
• Table — spreadsheet-style view with sortable columns.
• Calendar — tasks plotted on a monthly calendar by due date.
• Assigned — tasks grouped by assignee.

Use the filter bar at the top of any view to narrow tasks by status, priority, tag, or assignee.

Any task can be assigned to one or more workspace members. Click the assignee avatar on a task card or open the task detail panel and select from the member list.

Assigned members receive a notification and the task appears in their personal Assigned view for easy tracking.

AI task generation is powered by a credit system. Each generation request consumes credits based on the length of the source note and the number of tasks produced.

• Free plan: 50 credits/month
• Pro plan: 500 credits/month
• Team plan: 2 000 credits/month

Unused credits do not roll over. You can purchase additional credit packs at any time from Settings → Billing.

Noteal offers three plans:

• Free — 1 workspace, up to 3 members, 50 AI credits/month.
• Pro — unlimited projects, 10 members, 500 AI credits/month.
• Team — unlimited members, priority support, 2 000 AI credits/month.

Billing is managed via Stripe. To upgrade, navigate to Settings → Billing in your workspace.
